A historic Mughal site in Agra was demolished shortly after receiving protection, sparking an official investigation.

A 17th-century Mughal heritage site, Mubarak Manzil, also known as Aurangzeb's Haveli in Agra, India, was largely demolished just three months after the state issued a protection notice. Locals claim the demolition was done with the help of officials, despite the site's historical significance as a residence for key Mughal figures. Authorities have launched an investigation and banned further changes at the site.
