Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a 42-year-old U.S. citizen and Army veteran from Texas, was identified as the attacker in the New Orleans New Year's Day incident, where he drove a truck into a crowd, killing ten and injuring over thirty. After the attack, Jabbar fired at police, leading to a shootout where he was killed. An ISIS flag was found in his vehicle, and the FBI is investigating potential links to terrorist organizations. Weapons and a possible IED were also discovered in the truck.
