India will conduct its first 'Coastline-Waders Bird Census' in Jamnagar from January 3 to 5, 2025, at the Marine National Park and Marine Sanctuary. The three-day event aims to count wader and coastal bird species, featuring expert talks, bird counting, and knowledge-sharing sessions. Organized by the Forest Department and the Bird Conservation Society of Gujarat, the census will involve 100 bird watchers and help gather crucial data for bird conservation and habitat management.
