Emily McCorkell launches culinary business, Lo & Slo, after overcoming personal hardships.
Emily McCorkell, a Derry woman originally from Philadelphia, turned her life around after losing her family home and dealing with her husband's epilepsy by starting a culinary business. With a £5,000 innovation voucher, she developed family recipes into sauces and founded Lo & Slo, which includes a food truck and a barbecue school at Brook Hall estate. McCorkell also co-chairs the LegenDerry Food Network to promote the city's food industry.
