U.S. Supreme Court may revisit property rights in case challenging eminent domain use.

Bryan Bowers and Mike Licata planned to build a medical office in Utica, New York, but their property was seized by the Oneida County Industrial Development Agency for a parking lot. The U.S. Supreme Court may reconsider its 2005 Kelo v. City of New London decision, which allowed the use of eminent domain for economic development. Bowers' case, supported by the Institute for Justice, could clarify or overturn the Kelo ruling, which critics say endangers property rights.
