SJVN Limited's shares rise after agreeing to a major pumped storage project in Bihar, India.

SJVN Limited, a state-owned Indian power company, saw its shares rise after signing an agreement with Bihar to develop a pumped storage project. The Hathidah Durgawati project, with a capacity of 1,000 MW, is expected to cost ₹5,663 crore and generate annual energy of 2,308.65 MU. It will create 5,000 jobs and attract ₹10,000 crore in investments. SJVN is developing about 12,000 MW of pumped storage projects across India.
