A 500 kg rocket debris ring, found in Kenya, is being investigated by the Kenya Space Agency.

A metallic ring, suspected to be rocket debris, fell in Mukuku Village, Kenya, on December 30. Weighing about 500 kg and 2.5 meters in diameter, the object was confirmed by Kenya Space Agency (KSA) as a rocket separation ring, designed to burn up or fall into oceans. KSA is investigating the origin of the object under international space law and has assured the public there is no immediate safety threat.
