Iran faces nuclear talks with Europe after boosting uranium enrichment, near weapons-grade levels.
Iran and three European countries—Britain, France, and Germany—are set to hold nuclear talks on January 13 in Geneva. This follows Iran's response to a European-backed resolution criticizing its cooperation with the U.N. nuclear watchdog, by planning to install more uranium-enriching centrifuges. The U.N. nuclear chief noted Iran is enriching uranium up to 60% purity, near weapons-grade levels. Efforts to revive the 2015 nuclear deal between the U.S. and Iran have not succeeded.
