Fires at a Lagos police station and a Docemo market caused extensive damage but no injuries, linked to negligence.

A fire broke out at the Okokomaiko Police Station in Lagos after a diesel tanker caught fire while supplying fuel to a nearby mast. The blaze spread to the police station and several nearby buildings, including bungalows and a hotel, causing extensive damage but no reported injuries. Emergency services, including LASEMA and the fire department, contained the fire. In a separate incident, a fire at a market in Docemo was also contained, with both fires attributed to negligence.
