Fires in Hunter Valley have scorched over 1000 hectares; no properties threatened yet.

Multiple fires are burning in the Hunter Valley, with the Boys Arm Fire having scorched 446 hectares and the Martindale Road Fire burning through nearly 614 hectares. The NSW Rural Fire Service is working to strengthen containment lines and conduct backburning operations. No properties are currently threatened, and residents are advised to use the Hazards Near Me app to stay informed. A bush fire information point is available at Broke Rural Fire Station.
