Pharmaceutical companies plan to raise the prices of over 250 branded medications in the U.S. starting January 1, 2025, including Pfizer's Paxlovid and cancer treatments from Bristol Myers Squibb. The median price increase is 4.5%, similar to last year. These are list prices, not including discounts and rebates. The U.S. pays the highest prices globally for prescription drugs, and drugmakers have scaled back larger price increases after facing criticism.
