Baltimore faith leaders walk to remember 200 homicide victims despite city's high violence rate.

Faith leaders and community members in Baltimore held a prayer walk on December 30, 2024, to remember the city's 200 homicide victims. Starting at St. Joseph's Monastery Parish and ending at My Brother's Keeper, the event was organized by the Archdiocese of Baltimore's Grief Ministry. Despite a 23% drop in homicides from 2023, Baltimore's rate remains high, with most victims being young Black men. The Archdiocese also launched gun buyback programs in 2023 and 2024, recovering nearly 650 guns.
