New Zealand offers free vaping kits to smokers to help them quit, aiming for a 5% smoking rate by 2025.
New Zealand's Associate Health Minister, Casey Costello, announced a new initiative to help smokers quit by providing free vaping starter kits. Starting in 2022, smokers will receive a vape device and a month's supply of nicotine pods monthly for up to three months, along with support from stop smoking services. This effort is part of New Zealand’s goal to reduce smoking rates below 5% by 2025 and includes a new marketing campaign to encourage smoking cessation.
