Iraq and Syria agree to boost cooperation against the Islamic State along their border.

Iraq and Syria have agreed to enhance their cooperation in fighting the Islamic State (IS) group, as stated by Iraq's foreign ministry. Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein and his Syrian counterpart Asaad al-Shaibani emphasized the importance of shared security and pledged to work together to counter IS threats along their border. Syria confirmed its readiness to coordinate with Iraq in this effort.
