Ghana's Ashanti Region reports its first five cholera cases as part of a wider outbreak.
The Ashanti Region in Ghana has reported its first five confirmed cholera cases, with three in Sekyere South, one in Kumasi, and one in Bekwai. This follows outbreaks in other regions, totaling 4,155 suspected cases and 35 deaths since October. The Ashanti Regional Health Directorate has responded by disinfecting homes, isolating affected individuals, and tracing contacts. All five confirmed cases have since recovered.
