Former Florida deputy John J. Greer named prime suspect in 1979 killings of his wife and a store clerk.

Former Florida deputy John J. Greer has been named the primary suspect in the 1979 murders of his wife Jackie and convenience store clerk Adele Marie Easterly. Easterly was found dead with two gunshot wounds from a 12-gauge shotgun, and Greer had reported his wife's death as a suicide. Though initial investigations found no evidence linking Greer to the crimes, recent re-examination identified him as the main suspect in both deaths.
