Singaporean man sentenced to a year for scamming over S$32,000 through recruitment and grant fraud.
A 29-year-old man in Singapore, Lim Yi Xiang, was sentenced to one year and two weeks in jail for scamming individuals out of over S$32,000 by falsely promising help with staff recruitment and government grants. He also cheated two others out of $680 through an online marketplace scam. Lim doctored contracts and absconded while under investigation, leading to his arrest and conviction.
