Railway inspector arrested for allegedly rigging exams in exchange for bribes up to ₹50 lakh.

A 49-year-old chief ticket inspector with South Western Railways, Govindaraju, was arrested in Bengaluru for allegedly cheating job aspirants by promising to rig competitive exams in exchange for bribes. He reportedly charged between ₹25 lakh and ₹50 lakh, instructing candidates to leave some answers blank on their OMR sheets. Police seized documents from 46 individuals and registered a case under cheating and criminal conspiracy charges. This follows a similar case in 2018.
