Queensland plans Daniel's Law for 2025, creating a public sex offender register in memory of Daniel Morcombe.

In response to the 2003 abduction and murder of 13-year-old Daniel Morcombe, Queensland plans to introduce Daniel's Law in 2025, establishing a publicly accessible sex offender register. The register will include a public website with names and photos of offenders who breach reporting rules, as well as a system for parents to request information on high-risk offenders in their area. The Morcombe family hopes this will lead to a national register.
