NIT Tiruchirappalli plans to construct a research and innovation hub costing nearly ₹150 crore, with funding from the Union Education Ministry, alumni, and loans. The hub will span 20 acres and include a multi-storey building and equipment. The Global Alumni Meet 2025, set for January 4 in Chennai, will feature Tata Group's Chairman N Chandrasekaran and Tamil Nadu's IT Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan.
