French sailor Yannick Bestaven withdrew from the Vendée Globe race due to an irreparable steering system breakdown on his boat, Maître CoQ V. He will stop in Ushuaia, Argentina, for repairs with his technical team. Prior issues included a lost sail and damaged foil. Despite the setback, Bestaven plans to sail his boat back to Les Sables d'Olonne once it is fixed.
