Drinking coffee daily may lower the risk of head and neck cancers, study suggests.

A recent study in the journal CANCER suggests that drinking coffee, especially more than four cups daily, may lower the risk of head and neck cancers by up to 17%. Regular coffee drinkers had a 30% reduced risk of oral cavity cancer and a 22% lower risk of throat cancer. Decaffeinated coffee and tea also showed some protective effects, though tea consumption in large quantities was linked to an increased risk of laryngeal cancer. More research is needed to understand these relationships better.
