Chinese medical team performs successful surgery in Botswana, part of ongoing health aid since 1981.

The 17th Chinese Medical Team in Botswana has provided critical care, including a successful laparoscopic surgery on 62-year-old Kelesetse Bosha for kidney stones, performed by Dr. Hu Minxiong. This minimally invasive procedure led to a quicker recovery and less pain for Bosha. Since 1981, China has sent 17 medical teams to Botswana, treating over 2 million patients and saving the government money by reducing the need for overseas treatment.
