UK man's fine for unintentionally transporting a Sudanese migrant reduced from £6,000 to £150.
A 75-year-old man, Peter Hughes, was initially fined £6,000 after a Sudanese migrant was found in his camping trailer at the Port of Calais, France. The Home Office reduced the fine to £150 after his MP, Angela Rayner, intervened. Hughes believes the migrant stowed away while they stopped at a supermarket during their trip back to the UK from a camping holiday.
