South Africa's petrol and diesel prices will rise in January, while paraffin costs will drop.

South African fuel prices will increase starting January 1, 2025, with petrol going up by 12 to 19 cents per liter and diesel by 7.5 to 10.5 cents per liter. The price hikes are mainly due to the weakening of the South African rand against the US dollar and slightly higher oil prices. Illuminating paraffin will see a decrease of 13 cents per liter, while LP Gas will increase by 13 cents per kilogram.
