NBA star Victor Wembanyama plays chess with fans in New York City's Washington Square Park.

NBA star Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs visited New York City's Washington Square Park on Saturday to play chess with fans. Despite the rainy weather, he brought his own set and played several games, winning some and losing others. Wembanyama, who won Rookie of the Year last season and is averaging 25.2 points and 10.1 rebounds this year, also posed for photos and suggested an NBA players-only chess tournament with proceeds to charity.
