Four doctors at an Indian medical college were fired for allegedly assaulting a student.

Four doctors at MKCG Medical College in Berhampur, Odisha, including an assistant professor and senior residents, were terminated for allegedly assaulting a postgraduate student on December 20. The victim filed a police complaint, leading to the termination decision made by the college council and the directorate of medical education and training. Additionally, a second-year postgraduate resident was barred from the hostel for six months.
