Democrats worry about lack of diversity among DNC chair candidates, who are mostly white men.

Democrats are concerned about a lack of diversity among candidates for the Democratic National Committee (DNC) chair position. The candidates, primarily white men, include state party chairs Ken Martin of Minnesota and Ben Wikler of Wisconsin, former Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley, New York state Senator James Skoufis, former Maryland Senate candidate Robert Houton, and 2024 presidential candidate Marianne Williamson. Nate Snyder, a Latin Jew and former Department of Homeland Security official, is the only candidate from a racial minority and has noted the lack of gender diversity in the race.
