Kenyan President Ruto appoints acting Cabinet Secretaries amid ministry vacancies.

Kenyan President William Ruto has appointed acting Cabinet Secretaries to fill temporary roles in vacant ministries. Musalia Mudavadi will act in the Ministry of Information, Communications, and Digital Economy; Aden Duale in Agriculture and Livestock Development; and Salim Mvurya in Investments, Trade, and Industry. These appointments will last until new nominees, including Mutahi Kagwe, Lee Kinyanjui, and William Kabogo, are vetted and approved by parliament. The National Assembly has invited public submissions on the suitability of these nominees by January 3, 2025.
