Hyderabad's disaster response agency, HYDRAA, has reclaimed about 200 acres of encroached land, including parks and lakes, to protect community assets. Commissioner A.V. Ranganath highlighted the agency's efforts in fixing lake levels and demarcating boundaries using advanced technology. HYDRAA has identified 1,025 water bodies and plans to rejuvenate 12 lakes while also requesting better weather forecasting tools.
