Former inmate Kayla Knott to be sentenced for leading a $10M drug operation from Mexico.

Macalla "Kayla" Knott, a 32-year-old former Minnesota inmate, will be sentenced on January 3, 2025, for leading a $10 million drug trafficking operation while in Mexico. Knott, who pleaded guilty to drug conspiracy and money laundering, supplied methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl to distributors in the Upper Midwest. The operation, involving at least 18 people, led to the seizure of over 100 pounds of methamphetamine, 9 pounds of fentanyl powder, and 120,000 fentanyl pills.
