Attorney seeks to transfer Menendez case to state office, citing district attorney conflict.
The attorney for 24 relatives supporting the release of Erik and Lyle Menendez plans to petition the court to transfer their case to the California Attorney General's Office. County District Attorney, Nathan Hochman, due to his relationship with Kathleen Cady, who previously represented a relative opposing the brothers' release. Freedman believes the state Attorney General would be more supportive of the Menendez brothers' release efforts.
