Syrian regime relatives travel between Lebanon and Dubai amid war crimes charges and arrests.

Relatives of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, including his uncle Rifaat, were recently spotted traveling from Beirut to Dubai, while others remain in Lebanon. Rifaat, charged in Switzerland for war crimes related to the 1982 Hama uprising, flew using his real passport. Lebanese authorities arrested the wife and daughter of Assad's cousin for attempting to leave Lebanon with forged passports. Over 20 former Syrian Army members and intelligence officers have also been detained in Lebanon. No Interpol arrest warrants have been issued for the Assad family members, but Lebanon has agreed to cooperate with Interpol requests for other individuals.
