A new study in JAMA Network Open finds that at least 150 minutes of weekly aerobic exercise, like running or cycling, is crucial for significant weight loss in overweight adults. Less than 30 minutes a day resulted in minor improvements, while 150 minutes led to clinically important reductions in body fat and waist size. The research analyzed 116 clinical trials involving nearly 7,000 adults.
