The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has reported a rise in flight cancellations and delays, with 190 flights cancelled and over 5,000 delayed in September and October 2024. Acting Director-General Chris Najomo urged airlines to handle disruptions professionally, emphasizing passenger rights under the 2023 Consumer Protection Regulations. The NCAA also sanctioned five airlines for violations, including failure to refund passengers and non-compliance with directives.
