New federal law, named after Texas survivor Jenna Quinn, mandates training to fight child sexual abuse.
A new federal law, named after Texas child abuse survivor Jenna Quinn, has been signed to train and educate students, teachers, caregivers, and other adults on preventing, recognizing, and reporting child sexual abuse.
The law, modeled after successful Texas reforms, allows grant funds to be used for this training, following a study showing educators reported such abuse four times more after receiving training.
It was passed with bipartisan support in Congress.
