Danish firm NKT wins €1 billion contract for German high-voltage cables to transport wind power.

Danish company NKT has been awarded two high-voltage cable projects in Germany by TenneT, valued at about EUR 1 billion. The projects, LanWin7 and part of NordOstLink, are part of TenneT's 2GW energy transition program aimed at efficiently transporting wind power from the North Sea to the onshore grid. NKT will supply 525kV high-voltage direct current power cable systems, with the projects expected to be completed by 2033-34.
