In the 2025 PDC World Darts Championship, Australian player Damon Heta achieved a nine-dart finish, a rare perfect game, but lost to Luke Woodhouse in the third round. Woodhouse won 4-3, coming back from a 3-1 deficit. Heta's feat, the second of the tournament and 16th in World Championship history, earned him £60,000, with the same amount going to a spectator and to Prostate Cancer UK.
