East Palestine, Ohio, is seeing increased truck traffic due to ongoing cleanup efforts following a Norfolk Southern train derailment. The railroad has reported capturing and disposing of 74 million gallons of water, removing over 216,000 tons of soil, and sampling 1,782 drinking water wells. Excavation of 13 areas with low-level contaminants will continue, increasing local truck traffic in the coming weeks.
