China's Chery-owned Jaecoo brand is preparing to launch its mid-size SUV, the J7, in Australia in early 2025. The J7 has been spotted testing in Brisbane and will be offered in petrol and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions. The PHEV model features a combined output of 255kW and 525Nm, with an electric-only driving range of 90km and a total range of up to 1200km. Jaecoo aims to position the J7 as a premium product targeting adventure-focused consumers, marking its entry into a more upscale market segment compared to its Chery brand.
