South Korea has imposed sanctions on 15 North Korean IT workers and one company for their involvement in illicit cyber activities, including crypto theft, aimed at funding North Korea's nuclear and missile programs. The targeted individuals belong to the General Bureau 313 of North Korea’s Munitions Industry Department and are believed to have conducted these activities overseas. The sanctions against the Chosun Kum Jong Economics Information Technology Exchange Co. will take effect on December 30th. These actions are in response to violations of U.N. Security Council resolutions.
