South Korea has designated Yongin, near Seoul, as a national industrial complex to build a major semiconductor hub by 2030, accelerating the project three months ahead of schedule. The complex will cover 7.28 million square meters, including six chip factories and 60 suppliers, with $246.4 billion in private investment expected to create 1.6 million jobs. Additionally, a residential town for 16,000 households and improved transportation infrastructure will be developed.
