Kenya's IPOA investigates rising abductions, deploys teams, and demands police action.
Kenya's Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) is investigating a rise in abduction cases, deploying rapid response teams to Embu, Nairobi, and Kajiado. IPOA Chairperson Issac Hassan called for an end to the abductions and urged the Inspector General of Police to take action. The authority will recommend prosecution or disciplinary action if police involvement is confirmed and will make public the responses to its recommendations.
