A dental and medical practice near Cork Airport in Ireland may be forced to relocate after the national planning appeals board, An Bord Pleanála, denied retrospective planning permission for its use. The practice, which has operated for over 40 years, was unauthorizedly converted from a residential dwelling. The board cited concerns about preserving the rural character of the area and preventing urban sprawl as reasons for the denial.
