Sikh leader punished with cleaning duties at Golden Temple for offensive remarks.

The SGPC President, Harjinder Singh Dhami, received religious punishment, known as "tankhah," from Sikh high priests for making offensive remarks against his predecessor, Bibi Jagir Kaur. Dhami was ordered to wash dishes and clean devotees' shoes for an hour each at the Golden Temple as a form of atonement. This follows previous apologies and a submitted letter of apology to the Akal Takht.
