Nigerian official denies religious motives in suspension, urges focus on faith, not discord.
The Senior Special Assistant to Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, denied accusations by Prof. Ishaq Akintola of Muslim Rights Concern that Wike's administration is based on religion. Lere Olayinka, the aide, dismissed any religious motives in the suspension of the FCDA Executive Secretary and urged Akintola to focus on promoting Islam rather than creating religious disharmony. Olayinka also cited a teaching of Prophet Muhammad to encourage obedience to authorities.
