A 38-year-old man, Derrick J. Martinez, was arrested and charged with arson and possession of drug paraphernalia after allegedly setting a fire at Capitol City Smoke & Grocery in Topeka, Kansas. The fire, which occurred just after 3:30 a.m., was contained to the business, resulting in an estimated $7,500 in damages. No injuries were reported, and the building lacked working smoke detectors.
