Adoptee Dixon Handshaw finds multiple half-siblings before Christmas, thanks to New York's unsealed birth certificates.

Dixon Handshaw, a 75-year-old North Carolina resident adopted as an infant, discovered he has multiple half-siblings after New York unsealed original birth certificates for adoptees. Through contacting one of his father's adopted sons, Gary Romig, Handshaw learned about his biological father, Robert "Bud" Romig, and met his siblings just before Christmas. The family plans to spend more time together, including a camping trip and maintaining a text group.
