South Korea's PPP party picks Rep. Kwon Young-se to lead after President Yoon's impeachment.
South Korea's ruling People Power Party (PPP) has nominated five-term lawmaker Rep. Kwon Young-se to lead its emergency leadership committee in the wake of President Yoon Suk Yeol's impeachment. Kwon, who previously served as the first unification minister and ambassador to China, will be officially appointed after party meetings on Dec. 26 and 30. This follows the resignation of former PPP leader Han Dong-hoon.
