Statistics Canada reports that Quebec is retaining 94% of immigrants admitted in 2021, an 8.8 percentage point increase from 2018. Atlantic Canada, however, is facing declines in retention rates, with Newfoundland and Labrador dropping by 14.1%, and Nova Scotia by 11.7%. Quebec's economic category saw the largest increase in retention. Factors such as employment opportunities and community support are cited as reasons for the disparity.
